The touring car categories at the event will represent two different eras: the Group N category will display the muscle cars of the 1960s and early 70s, including Ford GT Falcon and Mustang, Holden Monaro and Torana XU-1, Chevrolet Camaro and Chrysler Valiant. *** One of the highlights of the program will be the Group S Rose City Sports Car Trophy which will be conducted on the Sunday of this two day Event and will feature Austin Healey, Porsche, De Tomaso, MG, Alfa Romeo etc. **** Group S has been a major participant in the Winton Festival of Speed since its inception and we are looking forward to another exciting display of these fabulous sports cars. In a first for the Festival of Speed, the popular HQ Holden category will make its inaugural appearance at a historic race meeting. The class has been one of Australias longest-standing one-make series, having been in existence for over two decades, and as with the other categories it has attracted a healthy field, with more the 25 cars expected on the grid from Victoria and interstate. ****The historic open wheelers will enjoy the Q and R Sports and Racing and historic Formula Ford categories, while pre war and post war classics such as Bugatti, Ford V8, Riley, Elfin and Australian Specials will participate in the Group J,K & L races. **** It is shaping up to be a huge event for spectators, who will be able to watch the cars on track but also talk to the drivers in the pits and admire the car club vehicles on track side display.****
