Scott Brayton was an IndyCar racer who was instrumental in the development of a Buick V6 engine that was taken to the Indianapolis 500.
He took his second Indy 500 pole position in 1996 – the first of the Indy Racing League era – then in tragic circumstances died after a tyre blew out at over 230 mph whilst shaking down his backup car.
These items were from Brayton’s time with Hemelgarn Racing with whom he raced from the back end of the 1985 season through to the end of 1988.
